An optimally set VPD value can increase your yield by up to 30%.

What is VPD and why is it crucial?

VPD stands for Vapor Pressure Deficit. It describes the difference between the moisture content of the air and the saturation limit directly at the leaf.

  • VPD too low (< 0.8 kPa): The plant cannot "breathe". The risk of mold (bud rot) increases massively.
  • VPD too high (> 1.6 kPa): The plant closes its stomata to prevent dehydration. Growth stops, photosynthesis collapses.
