Hashish is a concentrated cannabis product derived from the resin glands (trichomes) of the plant. There are various ways to produce this extract at home – from traditional to modern. We'll show you the most common methods to get the most out of your three legal plants.
1. Dry Sifting
One of the oldest and simplest methods.
- 🛠️ Equipment: Flowers/trim, fine sieves (120/160 µm), smooth surface & collection card.
- ❄️ Pro Tip: Freeze your material beforehand to make the trichomes more brittle and easier to detach.
- 👊 Finish: The collected kief can be pressed by hand or with a press to form hash.
2. Bubble Hash
This method uses ice water to gently separate the trichomes from the plant.
- Place different "bubble bags" (sieve bags) into a bucket.
- Fill the bucket with water, ice, and cannabis material.
- Stir the mixture vigorously for about 15–20 minutes.
- Lift the bags one by one and let the hashish dry.
3. Traditional Charas (Hand Rub)
For this method, fresh flowers are used directly from the living or freshly harvested plant.
- 🤲 Application: Gently and slowly rub the flowers between your palms.
- ✨ Result: The sticky resin collects on your hands and is formed into small balls or sticks.
